Day Thirty-two - 61,287 words and counting

I'm writing a novel. All my progress can be found on my private blog. The commentary for each day's work can be found below.

I just posted my State of the Novel for November. It tells how I got where I am, and where I'm going. That's interesting to me, if not to anyone else.

But now I have to move back from the grand themes and plot arcs down to the short term again. It's always a tough transition for me to make. I like the big moments, and I sometimes forget that the big moments are entirely composed of smaller moments.

I finished today's section feeling like a lot of it was filler. The Devan part was okay, but I wasn't happy with the Merona POV. It didn't really advance the plot all that much. In fact, if you find this scene as written in the finished version, I would be very much surprised.

Regardless, I'm done with Chapter 15, and chapter 16 begins tomorrow!

Today's Total: 2,063 / 1,689 words (122.1%)
Nov. Progress to Date: 2,063 / 1,689 words (122.1%, 0.2 days ahead)

Nov. Total Progress: 2,063 / 50,670 (4.1%)
Est. Completion: 61,287 / 250,000 words (24.5%, 112 days to go)
