Surely that's a good thing. Of course, part of me is thinking the editor is going to call to say I'm not good enough, but nice try. Hopefully that's just the low self-esteem talking. The giant ego, which gets into occasional death matches with the low self-esteem, is telling me that she's thrilled with the chance to publish it and wants to give me hundreds of dollars and fifteen contributor's copies.
In true Freudian fashion, I'm moderating between those two, and here's my estimate. I'll get it published and get another $5, maybe a contributor's copy. And you know, that would suit me just fine.
The problem is, I didn't get that email until late on Friday. As of now, no call back. I probably won't get one until Monday. Or even later.
Dammit.
