Do you see the Ferian Fetlock counter? Notice anything about it? That’s right, the word count actually went down. Yet it’s still in bold. WTF, mate?
It’s simple, really. I rewrote the crap I spewed out yesterday, and replaced it with good words. Or at the very least, better words, and I touched up the first part just a bit to boot. To appropriate yesterday’s metaphor, the water hasn’t turned clear yet, but there’s no longer anything swimming in it, either.
Oh, and just to drive me crazy, the editor from Tea didn’t call today, so that just means at least one more day of never letting my phone drift more than an inch from my hand. Who am I kidding? It’s right next to me now. I’m so sad and predictable.
So, in honor of the delay, I’m going to move 0.05 out of the Accepted column and put it back into the Pending column for every weekday I don’t hear from her. That way, if I don’t hear anything in two weeks, it’ll all go back to normal.
